On April 24, 2023, Lindy Kowalczyk held a fund-raiser for Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island by teaching a floral design class at Marco Island Branch of the Collier County Library. Lindy was assisted by Elizabeth Haines Papagiannis, Sue Oldershaw, and Marianne Foley who worked with the students as Lindy spoke and demonstrated the techniques. Community women who were interested in learning more about design principles paid $35 each to attend the class, which was “How to Make a Table Centerpiece.” Lindy purchased identical flowers for the 10 participants, and distributed them in identical bunches.Although each participant had the same blooms, each of the designs slightly differed, as you can see in the photos.
