"Tea by Design"

 Calusa's fund raiser held January 21st was a huge success.  

Presenter Anthony Swick,renowned designer, demonstrated new trends in floral designs. He challenged the ladies to think beyond the “familiar” style.  

The ladies enjoyed a wonderful menu, teas,program , prizes  and a chance to dress in their finery. Check out the pictures in the gallery section. 

Annual Christmas Party

 

               The members and guests of the Calusa Garden Club enjoyed a festive celebration of the holidays. Wonderful dishes, punch and company were present.  The program featured the " Bonsai Boys" giving a presentation on beginning a bonsai plant. A wonderful start to the holiday season was had by all attendees. see the gallery for more photos.  

      

Calusa sponsored " Your Holiday Home" at the Art Center

On November 12th the Marco Island Center for the Arts hosted “YOUR HOLIDAY HOME”. The Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island and the Marco Island Florist also sponsored the holiday event.  Attendees were invited to move around the gallery to the three kiosks where a designer provided “how to” demonstrations of new holiday design themes. 
 Over fifty attendees enjoyed complimentary wine and appetizers. Door prizes for a family membership to the  Art Center and a floral design from Marco Island Florist were drawn for two lucky winners.

Floral Design Workshop at the Marco Library

The members of the Calusa Garden Club demonstrated how to design a traditional and creative floral design at a workshop at the Marco Island Library’s Rose Hall and sponsored by The Friends of the Library.
