CALUSA GARDEN CLUB AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS

Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island awarded two college scholarships to 2021 graduates of Marco Island Academy.  The recipients of the $1,350 awards were MIA graduating seniors Spencer Siems and Tyler Chute.  Marianne Foley, Calusa Garden Club Scholarship Chairperson, made the announcements and gave the awards to Siems and Chute at the MIA Awards Night held on May 26 at the Marco Island Hilton.

REFRESHES VETERANS’ MEMORIAL AT MARCO ISLAND CEMETERY

CALUSA MEMBERS ON THE FLOWERS IN PUBLIC PLACES COMMITTEE DELIVERED TWO ARRANGMENTS AROUND MARCO ISLAND. 

-- at City Hall on January 14, with City Manager Michael McNees on the right, and his assistant Casey Lucius on the left, with Marianne Foley's floral design in the middle.  The second one was made and delivered by  Kathy Hershberger  to  the Bargain Basket's volunteer, Karen Blackwell.

Calusa Garden Club member Marianne Foley's with a photo of the design she entered in the Creative Flower Arrangers of America ,(CIFA), an annual event held in Orlando this past February, It was chosen for the cover of the Design Dimensions Magazine in the current spring/summer edition!
